Fishing with Veteran Families

date. 2023 Permanent

Location. USA, Florida

Fundraising. Continuous from general donations

Despite the name of the project, this will involve not only veterans but also active duty military, and first responders in general.

Many of these people and their families suffer of the stress of seeing their loved one leave home for their shift or their deployment and not always be sure to see them come back home, many times these people spend more time on their job than they do with their own families.

long hours, days and even months far from the family can slowly deteriorate a relationship between these operators and their families.

We are not family therapists but know for experience how important it is to spend quality time with the beloved ones to keep the love lit up and and the family together.

The project will involve a staff member that will steer a fishing boat on our beautiful Gulf of Mexico, bringing aboard the operator and his family, enjoy the ride to one of the many fishing spots in the area either coastal and, if the boat allows it, offshore and then drop the hooks for a family fishing day.

Saving a family's unity is much more than just giving back to a Veteran or a First Responder, there are many people involved in the Project that we are trying to help, when a deteriorating relationship arrives to its apex with a divorce the first of the innocent victims are the kids. The operators suffer of the remorse of not have being there so much for their families, but they can go on and make for themselves a new like wist like the wife/husband, but in al this process there are always innocent victims and these are the kids.

They are those mostly suffering from the change and the loss of unity.

We are working to make this project start, the reality is that we will need a fairly great amount of money to keep it up and running, we will need to purchase a boat, pay the storage costs, maintenance, insurance, gas, Captain etc. or in alternative rent or lease a boat from a third party when needed.

Expense can add up quite fast when involving vehicles.
