Veterans in Range

date. 2023 - Permanent

Location, USA, Florida

Fundraising. Permanent from general donations

Veterans are known to have a hard time adapting to Civilian life for many reason, with about 22 of them each day committing suicide and thousands affected by PTSD issues, most of them tend to struggle with work and social interaction in a society where the value of honor and duty they were use to live by are in general not recognized as a virtues anymore.

Many of them are often not willing to ask for help or speak with doctors or officers about their issues fearing repercussions on their rights, insurance and life in general.

So they find themselves alone

We are trying to make them know they are not alone.

Our program relies on a double factor, build a group of veterans with problems and make them have fun all together to make them feel comfortable with the others and then make them talk about their problems in group therapy.

We bring them to do what they were doing when building their best friendship, when growing as the men they are today, we bring them to a local gun range reserve a private stage, have them enjoy their time and build new friendships among peers under the supervision of one or more range safety officers, a Veteran part of our staff, and a trained or trainee psychologist, after a couple hours at the shooting range the group will move to a private conference room to start their group therapy session.

The group will meet at least once a month where the psychologist will be able to review the improvements and help them overcome their problems.

This is just the first part we have other Veteran projects we are working on and many can be connected to give all the support possible including work and family support.

If you feel a bit of gratitude for those who gave so much to US all help us supporting our project.

They have given so much, some of them gave it all.

Is time to reduce that crazy 22 number.

Is time to help them overcome their trauma helping gain stability in their life

Is time to ease their path to integration in the workforce and society

For all of us is the moment to give something back
